Meet
Len Marchese...
Len Marchese established RETHINK®
to help clients think differently about how they work, solve problems,
build relationships, and advance. He applies his diverse information
technology and organizational development experience to deliver
creative solutions. Len enjoys helping people "Rethink"
together and achieve innovative results. He believes greater fulfillment
and success awaits anyone willing to release his or her creative
potential. Len’s goal is to inspire individuals and organizations
to free their imagination and succeed in extraordinary ways. He
recognizes the competencies and behaviors that lead to success or
failure. Len constantly seeks new thinking and approaches for advancing
individual and organizational vitality, learning, and performance.
Len shared his discoveries and techniques at
Columbia University’s Management and Organization Seminar,
the Cornell Club, the Society for Human Resource Management, the
New York Bar Association, and the Asia Pacific Banking Executive
Conference. He participated in the Connecticut Business & Industry
Association’s externship program for giving educators reality-based
learning opportunities, and conducted classroom creativity and web
development sessions for high school students. Most recently, Len
presented at the American Society of Trainers & Developers.
Len is a rethinker, skilled advisor and
coach, education developer, trainer, and facilitator. He is also
experienced in business process reengineering, workflow and communication,
and quality, process, and project management practices. During his
career, Len had the pleasure of learning from thought-leaders, such
as Dr. Michael Hammer and Dr. Fernando Flores. Len has an undergraduate
degree focusing on business administration and information technology.
He appeared in Executive Who's Who, is a Buckley School of Public
Speaking graduate, and is a member of the Regional YMCA of Western
Connecticut’s Board of Directors. Len is Founder, President
and CEO of RETHINK, INC.
Meet
John Nelson...
John launched his career with great acclaim. In 1995 John's video
and animation and story boards were featured in an SVA gallery art
show. This was followed by his animated short movie T-REX featured
at the Dusty Film Festival in New York and Prology Show in Prague,
in 1996.
As
a Cross-Platform Graphic Artist Consultant for the Gartner Group,
John designed, translated, and converted graphics and acted as PC
advisor for the "Migration" project as Gartner moved to the Windows
operating system from Macintosh.
At
Path Studios, John produced an interactive CD-ROM for ENCOMP, Inc.
This 3D animated software was part of ENCOMP's advertising campaign
for their signature product FibertrayŽ. John also supported FunnyBone
Interactive, and animated and programmed CD-ROM games for entertainment
and educational use for companies, such as Fisher Price and Davidson
Group. Software titles include Fisher Price Castles, Jump Start,
and Fisher Price Construction.
In
1997, John created It's Science Time!; interactive educational software.
This Path Studios' software features animated characters, interactive
games and puzzles, and is geared to help a wide variety of learning
abilities including handicapped and inclusion children. In 1998,
It's Science Time! won the Fortune Brands grant for the Norwalk
School system, and John was named in the Who's Who for Young Entrepreneurs.
John
enjoyed considerable success as a web practitioner, however, he
became interested the viability of launching a full-service Internet
Service Provider (ISP) business, a business that designs front and
back end web applications for businesses, and provides Internet
consultant services. Clients include IBM, Rethink, Inc., and General
Atlantic Partners.
John
supported IBM as the Head of Quality Assurance for IBM's ENTERPRISE
98 project. He was responsible for the development, quality assurance,
and maintenance of IBM's corporate Extranet sites. The Extranet
project allowed IBM to offer customized B2B services and products
directly to their biggest corporate consumers/partners within a
secure e-commerce web application. At General Atlantic Partners,
John developed a complete website, including a secure interactive
guide for their portfolio companies.
