Pencil

The pencil is the default tool the Rethink-Pad™ uses. When the Rethink-Pad™ loads users can immediately begin drawing with the pencil. The default size is two pixels wide, and the default ink is black. Users have the option of changing colors of the pencil by selecting one from the pallet.

To use the pencil simply place the cursor over the gray canvas area, and click and hold the mouse button. While holding down the mouse button drag the cursor around the gray canvas area. To stop drawing release the mouse button.

To re-select the pencil tool, place the cursor over the pencil icon and click once. The tool will be set back to the original two pixel size, but will retain the last color chosen.

Paint Brush

To use the paint brush, click on the paint brush icon. The default size is 5 pixels wide, and the default ink is black. Users have the option of changing colors of the paint brush by selecting one from the pallet.

To use the paint brush simply place the cursor over the gray canvas area, and click and hold the mouse button. While holding down the mouse button drag the cursor around the gray canvas area. To stop drawing release the mouse button.

To re-select the paint brush tool, place the cursor over the paint brush icon and click once. The tool will be set back to the original 5 pixel size, but will retain the last color chosen.

Users also have the option of choosing bigger brush sizes.

Brush Sizes

Clicking on the different circles will allow the user to paint with bigger or smaller brushes. The brushes are 5 pixels, 10 pixels, and 15 pixels in width.

Spray Can

To use the spray can, click on the spray spray can icon. The default size is 20 pixels wide in a dotted pattern, and the default ink is black. Users have the option of changing colors of the spray can by selecting one from the pallet.

To use the spray can simply place the cursor over the gray canvas area, and click and hold the mouse button. While holding down the mouse button drag the cursor around the gray canvas area. To stop drawing release the mouse button.

To re-select the spray can tool, place the cursor over the spray can icon and click once. The tool will retain the last color chosen.

Eraser

To use the eraser, click on the eraser icon. The default size is 5 pixels wide.

To use the eraser simply place the cursor over the gray canvas area, and click and hold the mouse button. While holding down the mouse button drag the cursor around the gray canvas area. Anything the cursor goes over will be erased to the original canvas color.

Paint Bucket

To use the paint bucket, click on the paint bucket icon. The paint bucket will completely fill a desired area, and the default ink is black. The paint bucket is great for filling in circles or boxes or the entire screen. Users have the option of changing colors of the spray can by selecting one from the pallet.

To use the paint bucket simply place the cursor over the gray canvas area, and click the mouse button once.

To re-select the paint bucket tool, place the cursor over the paint bucket icon and click once. The tool will retain the last color chosen.

Undo
The undo feature will undo the last action performed. Clicking on the undo icon again will redo the last action performed.

Pallet

Users can change the color of the pencil, spray can, paint brush, paint bucket, or stamps by selecting from the pallet.

To select different colors simply place the cursor over the desired color and click once. The cursor will assume the shape of an eye dropper when over the pallet.

To return any tool to its default value, including stamps, choose the color black from the pallet.

Stamps

To use a stamp select a category of interest from the stamp menu. To use a desired stamp simply click on the icon you want once then click anywhere on the canvas once. Holding down the mouse button will paint in a solid stream using the stamp as a brush.

To change a stamp click on a new icon in the stamp window. Certain stamp categories have many icons and may allow scrolling through the stamp window. To scroll through the stamp window use the arrows above and below the stamp window. If the arrows are not functional then there are no more stamps available in that category.

To change a color of a stamp select the desired color from the pallet. To reset the color of a stamp to its original select the color black from the pallet.

Clear

Click on the clear button once to clear the entire canvas. All work will be erased.

To undo a clear action click on the undo button. All work will be restored to the last action.

Save
To save your work click on the save button. Choose a location to save your work to as well as the desired file format.

Print
To print your work click on the print button.
